VPRAD Level 1 is currently recruiting candidates for its 30th cohort, set to begin at the end of February. Do you know someone who might benefit? VPRAD (VUMC Program in Research Administration Development) is a career development program that is ideal for newly hired, recently transferred, or any staff member working in an administrative role within a lab, clinic, or administrative office within the Research Enterprise. VPRAD is intended to fill knowledge gaps and equip learners with a broad overview of VUMC’s Research Enterprise, as well as the tools and resources to navigate within it. Over the course of thirteen weeks, participants explore topics such as the lifecycle of a sponsored project, research compliance, shared resources, pre- and post-award management, financial processes, and VUMC best practices for research administration. Introduction to the Vanderbilt Program in Research Administration Development (VPRAD): Training Opportunity

Please share with any interested individuals: Introduction to VPRAD (Vanderbilt Program in Research Administration Development) is a four-hour training workshop that will acclimate enrolled staff to the VUMC Research Enterprise and introduce and detail the resources available to research-related roles throughout VUMC.  The course is designed for newly hired, recently transferred, or any other staff member working in an administrative role within a lab, clinic, or administrative office within the Research Enterprise. Introduction to VPRAD is intended to fill knowledge gaps and equip staff with a broad overview of VUMC’s Research Enterprise, as well as the tools and resources available to navigate within it. Vanderbilt Program in Research Administration Development (VPRAD): New Cohort Starts in August

VPRAD Level 1 is currently recruiting candidates for its 27th cohort, set to begin in August. Do you know someone who might benefit? VPRAD is a short-term, intensive educational experience for staff members involved in research administration, including but not limited to those working in the following areas: basic or bench lab, clinical research, educational or social/behavioral research, finance or administration, or within a leadership position in the research enterprise. The program consists of a broad-based curriculum that introduces various research administration concepts and terms, including support and compliance in the research enterprise and elements of both pre- and post-award for grants and contracts. There is a one-time, $150 fee (payable via a departmental 1180) for VUMC employees to attend VPRAD Level 1.
